Apple has unveiled the Apple Watch Series 10, which promises to be the most advanced, sleekest, and thinnest Apple Watch yet. This new iteration of the world’s bestselling watch comes with a host of new features designed to make it even more powerful, intelligent, and sophisticated. The Series 10 is available in both aluminum and titanium finishes and can be pre-ordered today, with availability starting on September 20.

The Sleekest, Thinnest Apple Watch Yet

The Apple Watch Series 10 is nearly 10 percent thinner than its predecessors, making it more comfortable to wear. It also features the biggest and most advanced display of any Apple Watch to date. The new S10 SiP (System in Package) was engineered for a thinner profile, performance, power efficiency, and intelligence. This allows for intelligent features like the double-tap gesture, on-device Siri, dictation, and automatic workout detection. The Series 10 is also lighter, with aluminum cases weighing up to 10 percent less and titanium cases weighing almost 20 percent less than the Series 9.

Apple’s Largest, Most Advanced Wearable Display

The display on the Apple Watch Series 10 offers up to 30 percent more active screen area than previous models, improving readability and usability. This new wide-angle OLED display is up to 40 percent brighter when viewed from an angle, making it easier to read at a glance. The display is also more power-efficient, enabling a faster refresh rate when the watch is in always-on mode.

Apple Watch Series 10 features the biggest, most advanced display yet.

Faster Charging

The Apple Watch Series 10 integrates a larger and more efficient charging coil, making it the fastest-charging Apple Watch ever. Fifteen minutes of charging provides up to eight hours of normal daily use, or eight minutes of charging powers up to eight hours of sleep tracking. Users can charge to 80 percent battery in about 30 minutes.

Insightful Sleep Apnea Notifications

Building on its intelligent health features, the Apple Watch Series 10 now offers a feature to help identify signs of sleep apnea. The watch uses its accelerometer to monitor small movements at the wrist associated with interruptions in normal respiratory patterns. Users can view their nightly Breathing Disturbances in the Health app, and the watch can notify users if the data indicates consistent signs of sleep apnea.

Depth and Temperature Sensing for Water Activities

The Apple Watch Series 10 is designed for activities in and around water, featuring a new depth gauge and water temperature sensor. The built-in Depth app displays the time, current depth, water temperature, duration under water, and maximum depth. The new Tides app provides seven rolling days of forecasted tidal information for coastlines and surf spots around the globe.

Audio Playback Through Speakers and Voice Isolation for Calls

Audio can now be played back through the built-in speaker on the Apple Watch Series 10. The watch also uses a new voice isolation neural network to suppress background noise during phone or FaceTime audio calls, ensuring that a user’s voice sounds crisp and clear even in noisy environments.

Sophisticated New Aluminum Finishes and Polished Titanium

For the first time, the Apple Watch is available in a polished aluminum finish, jet black, with a distinctively glossy, reflective shine. The Series 10 also comes in an updated rose gold aluminum, along with the popular brushed silver aluminum. Additionally, it is available in aerospace-grade polished titanium, which is almost 20 percent lighter than the stainless steel Series 9.

Featuring watchOS 11

The Apple Watch Series 10 comes with watchOS 11, featuring powerful health and fitness insights and intelligent customization. New features include a more intelligent Smart Stack, a redesigned Photos face, the Translate app, and the ability to scroll through any app with the double-tap gesture.

Lineup Bands

The Milanese Loop and Link Bracelet bands have been updated to perfectly color-match the new titanium cases of the Apple Watch Series 10. A new collection of Hermès bands draws on the house’s rich history in textiles and craftsmanship, offering a variety of bold and sophisticated designs.

Remember these 3 key ideas for your startup:

  1. Leverage Advanced Health Features: The Apple Watch Series 10 offers insightful health metrics like sleep apnea notifications and water activity sensors. Startups in the health tech sector can integrate these features to provide more comprehensive health monitoring solutions.

  2. Utilize Faster Charging and Efficient Design: The faster charging capabilities and sleek design make the Apple Watch Series 10 an ideal tool for busy professionals. This can help improve productivity by ensuring that the device is always ready to use.

  3. Innovate with New Display Technology: The wide-angle OLED display and increased screen area can be leveraged by app developers to create more engaging and user-friendly applications. This can enhance user experience and drive higher engagement rates.
