Edworking vs Google Workspace

Google Workspace is strong for email, documents, meetings, and cloud storage. Edworking brings tasks, docs, files, chat, video calls, and AI into one project workspace so teams can reduce the handoffs between work planning and collaboration.

Answer-ready Google Workspace alternative

When should a team choose Edworking over Google Workspace?

Use these direct answers when documents, files, email, and meetings are not enough to manage ownership, tasks, decisions, and AI workspace context.

01

What is the main difference between Edworking and Google Workspace?

Google Workspace is a productivity suite for email, documents, storage, and meetings. Edworking connects tasks, docs, files, chat, video calls, and AI so project work has one operational home.

02

When is Edworking a better Google Workspace alternative?

Edworking is stronger when a team needs ownership, due dates, project spaces, task follow-up, and discussion tied to the same work context instead of scattered across Drive, Meet, and Chat.

03

Can teams use both tools together?

Yes. Some teams keep Google Workspace for email and external documents while using Edworking as the workspace where tasks, decisions, files, meetings, and AI context come together.

Edworking is a strong fit for

  • Teams whose docs and files need clear owners, deadlines, and follow-up
  • Small teams replacing separate task, chat, meeting, file, and AI tools
  • Remote teams that want searchable work context, not just separate documents

Google Workspace may still fit when

  • Email administration and office documents are the core requirement
  • The team does not need project spaces or task ownership
  • Existing Google admin policies are the main buying driver

A value-for-money, reliable tool that works effectively and can adequately replace trello or any other job board. It delivers strong performance without the high costs of traditional job platforms. I really like the standalone apps compared to the browser version—they help me focus better on work. The ticket system is well designed and very effective.

We love the ability to have different projects and tasks and teams working smoothly on one platform. It’s been great for our team to track projects and be able to encourage them to keep kicking goals together. The app isn’t great, which leaves us to working usually on the desktop, which makes it hard when we are out and about to manage things.

I run several gyms and other companies, each with small teams. I was looking for an intuitive tool that addressed my core problem: task allocation and monitoring, storing work instructions, and tracking contracts. Edworking handles all of these tasks and more. It's incredibly easy to use; every employee can get to grips with it immediately. Most importantly, I no longer forget the tasks I've assigned to the individual teams.

For me, Edworking is a serious project and a solid alternative for task management, docs, and files. You can even meet with your team through an internal Zoom alternative. And there’s something I love: copy-paste into Markdown editors works flawlessly. The team has shown commitment, and the support is good, taking note of issues that still need fixing.

I bought this for its features that solve my problems. This to me is the Thinking Man's Trello, with bells and whistles. It works really well for me and I can organise my separate gigs into logical order. I have Blue and Suitedash, but this just makes sense for my needs and team size.

I love the API abilities and the fact that they have already launch an app for android and iOS. The desktop is better because it gives a quick, larger overall dashboard overview. From internal stories (similar to social media), calls, meetings…to much to name.

We love the functionality and how easily it was to use after set up (which literally took minutes). You can meet with your team and schedule meetings with the team right in one spot. We use ours as a hub and Project Management software. Game changer by far and AI capabilities. Chef's Kiss!

I’ve been running businesses for over 20 years, and I’ve tried just about every project management tool under the sun. Edworking brings everything I need into one place. Tasks, files, video calls, chats, docs—it’s all there, working together seamlessly. The Kanban board is super intuitive, letting me create and assign tasks in seconds, and the real-time notifications keep everyone in the loop. But what really blew me away? Their customer service. I had a question about setting up a new workspace, and not only did their support team respond quickly, but the CEO jumped into the live chat to help me out.

Edworking is a great product and has a great vision on how to interact with your colleagues when working on projects and tasks. With chats, and documents on the task itself it makes it easy to complete tasks and drive clarity for teams. I was impressed with how easy it is to get started and how I was able to replace what I was using Notion for with a fraction of the cost. This is a great tool and adds a lot of value for smaller teams and startups.

Edworking is an innovative platform for team collaboration and management. While there are still some details to refine, it is continuously evolving and promises to become a solid alternative in the market. One of its standout aspects is the dedication of the team, especially Iván, the founder, who has shown excellent customer support and a genuine willingness to improve the product based on user feedback.

It is simple to use for the non techie user. Support is amazing and they came up with a work around to an issue I had with onboarding a user. There are a couple of things that are in Click Up that are not in Edworking. The one I would like to see is the chance to include time button and create timesheets. They do not have sub tasks and actually that has helped my users finding information that was difficult for them in Click Up. I like it and using it every day.

Bought a tons of project management softwares here and I must say that when it comes to UXUI, this is by far the best. App version is also stable. This can be huge with the “one stop” solution for businesses. Support is also extremely prompt. My issue was resolved under 5 minutes upon first contact via the live chat.

Really user-friendly and intuitive piece of software, but the best thing is that while I was working my way around it I fired off a question and not only had a real person respond, but he asked if I was free to jump on a call there and then. In just a few minutes he showed me how to do what I wanted to do, but I also realized that Edworking does SO much more than I thought. This is also especially good for anyone with ADHD who will benefit from the straightforward organizational structure.

Easy to use and I love that it's not app-based. I wish there was an option to share files larger than 1GB. I would pay more for that option.

Our team members can use EdWorking in iPhone, android and desktop. It also supports google two factor authentication that adds extra layer of security. Great app with 2FA plus we can use it in various handheld devices that we are looking for a long time.

Price is pretty good comparing what features you receive. Price of Asana was too high comparing Edworking even not included extra functionality I receive now. API connection is extra payment options so it makes harder to connect with other tools I use.

All features for my daily work at one place for a good price. Price, Asana is way to expensive so I switched. Usability but they keep up working on it.

Mobile apps availability. Less expensive, easy in control new user. Mobile apps and team collaboration compare that is more important to us. Need business account to see project stats. Sometimes small number of employee also need the stats.

Before I had to integrate and jump from app to app, I love how Edworking has made everything seamless and definitely made the workflow so much easier. The thing I love the most though, is there awesome customer service which I have not experienced in such a long time. I would pay the money for just that alone.

When we need to discuss a particular project, it's easy to create a discussion topic with just a few clicks. As a result, we can make better decisions. Edworking can do everything you'd typically expect project management software to do as a single tool for your team. In addition, you can use it as a team communication tool, collaborate on projects, share files and documents, or even schedule meetings, all without additional costs.

I'm a freelancer and spend most of my time working from home. I need super fast, stable tools and can easily work on both mobile and desktop. My favourite thing about Edworking is the simplicity of the interface, the ability to work on my projects from anywhere, and the fact that my team and clients can see what's going on. I also like that Edworking keeps my data private, secure, and accessible on all devices. The fact that they have native apps for mobile is a huge plus too.

It's perfect for managing multiple teams and small businesses that need all their communication and information in one place. I like how the app integrates seamlessly with Google Calendar, making it very easy to sync my team's schedules with Edworking. It's a feature-rich, easy-to-use collaboration and productivity tool that helps people get more done.

I love the simplicity of this app. The interface is beginner-friendly and super-efficient in managing tasks, working with my team members, sending and receiving files, and even chatting and video conferencing. It's right there on one single page. And it's available on iOS and Android!

We are a team of writers who use the workspace to collaborate. The workspace is where we dump all ideas and instructions, and once we decide on the content and overall flow, we format it right there and publish it. For blog publishing, the features of the workspace are still incomplete if you compare it to WordPress. In our old collab software, we used to just send and receive files if we wanted to collaborate on an article. With Edworking, we can write and edit all at the same time.
